Eye granny square crochet pattern:

With A:

Round 1: Start with a magic ring, ch 2, 7 HDC into the magic ring. Close round with sl st in 1st HDC. Cut the yarn.

With C: Join a new color yarn into the same stitch.

Round 2: Ch 3, DC into the same stitch, 2 DC in the next stitch and all other stitches around. Join with sl st in 1st DC. (16 sts).

With A: Join a new color between 2 DC.

Round 3: Work between stitches: ch1, SC into the same space, 2 SC between next two stitches, *SC between next two stitches, 2 SC between next two stitches – repeat from * around. Join with sl st in 1st SC. Cut the yarn. (24 sts).

With B: Join a new color yarn into the same stitch.

    I’m just curious. Are these squares awaiting blocking? I’m looking at the different squares and it looks like some are rounded instead of squared. Since I have never blocked, I am wondering if this is the way they will come out after blocking.

      I did not block them on the picture, so after blocking they will look better. As one more option you can play with stitches in the last round.
