Hood-style bonnet crochet pattern:
Ties and bonnet body:
Should measure approximately 125 cm or longer.
Chain 190.
Row 1: Ch1. Work into the second chain from the hook 1 SC, then 1 SC in each chain across. Turn. (190)
Rows 2-5: Ch 1, SC blo in each st across. Turn. (190) Cut the yarn.
Divide all stitches into 3 parts so that the center section measures 40-41 cm (16 in). Do not worry if the side sections are longer (they will form the ties); just make sure the central section is the correct length.
Count 63 sts and pm in the next st on the right side, then do the same on the left side. The center section should contain 64 sts.
Start working on the side where all yarn tails are on the right side.
Row 1: Attach a new yarn tail to the stitch marked with a stitch marker, working through the back loop. Ch 1, SC blo into the same stitch, SC blo in each st across. Turn. (64)
Row 2: Ch 1, SC blo in each st across. Turn. (64)
Repeat Row 2 until the center section reaches 20 cm (7.9 in) without ties. Cut the yarn.

Shaping the hood crown:
Divide the center section into 3 parts again so that the middle part measures 13 cm (5.1 in): 22-20-22. The number of stitches on the left and right sides must be even.
Start working on the side where all yarn tails are on the right side.
Row 1: Attach the yarn into the 1st stitch of the middle part, through the back loop, ch1, 1 SC blo into the same stitch, then 1 SC blo in next 19 sts, sl st in next 2 sts (though both loops). Turn.
Row 2: Ch 1, skip 2 sts, work 1 SC blo in the 3rd st, then SC blo in the next 19 sts, sl st in next 2 sts (though both loops). Turn.
Repeat Row 2 until there are 20 sts left in the middle section. Cut the yarn.
Start working on the side where all yarn tails are on the right side.
Edging:
Row 1: Attach the yarn as shown in the picture (in the corner between the tie and the hood). Work around the face opening of the hood, 1 SC evenly to the corner on the opposite side. If the edge looks wavy, switch to a smaller hook size. Sl st in the next 2 sts along the tie itself. Turn.

Row 2: Ch 1, work SC in the 3rd st, then SC in each stitch around the face opening. Sl st in the next 2 sts along the tie itself. Turn.
Row 3: Ch 1, work SC in the 3rd st, then SC in each stitch around the face opening. Sl st in next st along the tie. Cut the yarn. Weave in all ends.
