Crochet Basic Lace Granny Square Pattern

Basic lace granny square crochet pattern:

Chain 5, sl st into 1^st ch. 

Round 1: work into the center- ch 3(count as DC), DC, [Ch 3, 2DC] – repeat 3 times, ch 1, HDC to top of starting chain 3.

Round 2: ch 3(count as DC), DC into same space, DC in next 2 sts, *[2 DC, ch2, 2DC] – in ch-3 sp, DC in next 2 sts – repeat from * 3 times, 2 DC in beginning sp, ch 1, HDC to top of starting chain 3.
