Easy Crochet One-Stitch Men’s Scarf Pattern

Crochet tools and materials:

Crochet Hook 5 mm; 

Red Heart, Comfort (4) – 100% acrylic.  Yarn Needed: 250 grams

Crochet one-stitch men’s scarf size:

Finished Size: 19  x 160 cm (7.5 x 63 inches)

ch – chain

st(s) – stitch(es)

SC – single crochet

yo – yarn over

Crochet men’s one-stitch scarf pattern:

This scarf is worked lengthwise, from one end to the other. 

Chain 180 (or any other number) very loosely, or use a larger crochet hook to make the foundation chain.

Row 1: Ch 1. Starting in the 2nd chain from the hook, insert the hook into the 1st chain, yo and pull up a loop. Insert the hook into the 2nd chain, yo pull up a loop, yo and pull though all 3 loops on the hook.

[Insert the hook back into the previous ch, yo and pull up a loop, then insert the hook into the next ch, yo and pull up a loop, yo and pull though all 3 loops on the hook] – repeat across. Work 1 SC in the last ch. Turn.

Row 2: Ch 1. Insert the hook into the 1st st, yo and pull up a loop. Insert the hook into the 2nd st, yo pull up a loop, yo and pull though all 3 loops on the hook.

[Insert the hook back into the previous st, yo and pull up a loop, then insert the hook into the next st, yo and pull up a loop, yo and pull though all 3 loops on the hook] – repeat across. Work 1 SC in the last st. Turn.

Repeat Row 2 until the scarf reaches desired width. My scarf consists of 25 rows.

Fringe:

Optionally add fringe to the scarf. The edges are already even and neat so the fringe is purely decorative. To make the fringe, cut 3 or more strands of yarn approximately 30 cm (12 in) long, fold the strands in half and attach them along the scarf edge. Repeat spacing the fringe evenly along the edge.
