Starting the scarf:
Row 1: Ch 26 or any even number. Work through the back ridges of the chain. 1 SC in the 2nd back ridge from the hook and in each back ridge across. Turn. (25 SC)
Row 2: Ch1, [SC in next st, HDC flo in next st] – repeat across, SC in the last st. Turn.
Row 3: Ch 1, [SC in next st, HDC in the FLO of the next stitch 2 rows below] – repeat across, SC in the last st. Turn.

Repeat Row 3 until the scarf reaches the desired length.

Finishing the scarf:
Last Row: Ch 1, sc in each st across. To match the width of the beginning of the scarf and prevent the edge from looking slightly wider, work SC2tog four times, spacing the decreases evenly across the row.
Optionally, add fringes to your scarf.
