Everyday slippers crochet pattern:

Round 1: Work into a magic ring — Ch 3 (Count it as a DC, or begin with a chainless foundation DC as shown in the video tutorial), 11 DC. Join with a sl st to the top of the starting DC or to the top of ch-3. (12)

Round 2: Ch 3 (or chainless foundation DC), DC into the same st as a join, 2 DC in each st around. Join. (24)

Round 3: Ch 3 (or chainless foundation DC), DC in next 2 sts, 2 DC in next st, [DC in next 3 sts, 2 DC in next st] – repeat 5 times. Join. (30)

Round 4: Ch 3 (or chainless foundation DC), DC in next 3 sts, 2 DC in next st, [DC in next 4 sts, 2 DC in next st] – repeat 5 times. Join. (36)

For a wider sleeper, add 6 more sts in the next round if needed.

Rounds 5-15: Ch 3 (or chainless foundation DC), [skip next st, DC in next st, DC in the skipped st] – repeat 7 times, DC in next 21 sts. Join. (36)

Repeat Round 5 as many times as needed until the sock part reaches the beginning of the heel. (15 cm /6 inches in my case)

Work the heel section:

Row 1: Ch 2, (turn the work) DC into the same st as a join. DC in next 21 sts. Turn. (22)

Row 2: Ch 2, DC in each st across. Turn.(22)

Row 3-6: Repeat Row 2.  Repeat Row 2 until the heel is nearly covered.

There are two ways to finish the heel.

Method 1: Cut the yarn, leaving a 25–30 cm tail. Turn the slipper so the wrong side is facing out, align the heel edges, and sew the seam. Insert the needle through the outer loops on each side and continue along the entire seam.

Method 2 (shown in the video tutorial): Divide all stitches into 3 sections 8-6-8 sts. Place stitch markers if desired.

You may start shaping the heel on whichever side you are on, wrong side or right side.

Row 1: Ch 2, DC in next 14 sts, sl st in next st. Turn.

Row 2: no additional ch needed. Skip 1st st and work into the next one. SC in next 6 sts, sl st in next st. Turn.

Repeat Row 2 until only the 6 central stitches remain.

Work around the instep opening:

Round 1: Ch 1, and work SC evenly around the entire slipper opening. Join with sl st.

Rounds 2-3: Ch 2, DC into the same stitch as join, DC in each st around. Make one decrease (DC2tog) on each side, in the corners, where the instep meets the side of the slipper – 2 dec total. Join to the 1st DC.
