Crochet Flower Hot Pad Pattern

Crochet materials and tools:

<> Crochet hook 4 mm

<> Promofil, Crafte, Cotton blend (4). Two different colours of yarn.

Common abbreviations of crochet stitches:

ch – chain

SC – single crochet

DC – double crochet

HDC – half double crochet

sl st – slip stitch

Flower hot pad crochet pattern:

Flower center (orange yarn):

Start with a magic ring.

Round 1: Ch 1, 6 SC into the magic ring. Close round with sl st in 1^st SC (6 sc).

Round 2: Ch 1, 2 SC into the same stitch and in each stitch around. Close round with sl st in 1^st sc (12 SC).

Round 3: ch 1, 2 SC in first stitch, sc in next stitch, *2 SC in next st, sc in next stitch, repeat from *around. Join. (18 SC).

Round 4: ch1, *2SC in the first stitch, SC in the next stitch, SC in the next stitch, repeat from *around. Join. (24 SC). Cut the yarn.

Flower petals (green yarn):

Round 5: Ch 2, *2 HDC into the same stitch, HDC in next stitch, HDC in next stitch, HDC in next stitch, repeat from *around. Join. (30 HDC).

Round 6: ch 1, [sl st, SC, HDC, 5DC into the next st, HDC, SC] – repeat 5 times. Join. (50 sts)

Round 7: ch1, [sl st, SC, HDC into the next 3 sts, 3 HDC into the next st, HDC into the next 3 sts, SC] – repeat 5 times.

Round 8: ch1, [sl st, SC into the next 3 sts, 2 SC into the next st, SC, 2 SC into the next st, SC, 2 SC into the next st, SC into the next 3 sts] – repeat 5 times.

Cut the yarn and weave in the ends.
