Crochet Feather Leaf Pattern

 

Crochet materials and tools:

<> Crochet hook 3.75 mm

<> Caron Simply Soft (4) worsted weight yarn

Crochet leaf size:

About 5-6 cm.

Common abbreviations of crochet stitches:

ch – chain

yo – yarn over

sc – single crochet

sl st – slip stitch

st – stitch

Crochet blackthorn leaf pattern:

1 . Chain 11. Work in back ridge of chain: sc in the second ridge from hook and all the way across (10 sc). Turn.

2. Yo, insert the hook into the second stitch and draw up a loop and hold, *yo, insert the hook into the next st and draw up a loop and hold – repeat from * till the end. Please note that each loop that you draw up will be a little bit longer than previous one. The first loop is the shortest one while the last loop is the longest. At this moment you have 19 loops on the hook. Yo and pull though two, [yo, pull through three] – repeat 8 times, yo and pull through two. Turn.

3. Sc, *yo, insert the hook into the next st and draw up a loop and hold – repeat from * till the end. Please note that each loop that you draw up will be a little bit longer than previous one. The first loop is the shortest one while the last loop is the longest. At this moment you have 19 loops on the hook. Yo and pull though two, [yo, pull through three] – repeat 8 times, yo and pull through two. Turn.

4. Sl st around the edge.

Cut the yarn and weave in ends.
