Crochet Fall (Autumn) Leaf Pattern

Crochet fall leaf size:
Length without petiole: 7-8 cm (3 in)

SC – single crochet
sl st – slip stitch

Autumn leaf crochet pattern:
Crochet body of the fall leaf:
Chain 13 or any other odd number.
Row 1: SC in 2nd ch from hook and in each chain across. Turn (12 SC).
Rows 2 – 5: Ch 1, 2 SC in first st, SC in next 4 sts, skip next 2 sts, SC in next 4 sts, 2 SC in last st. Turn (12 SC).
Row 6: ch 1, SC in next 5 sts, skip next 2 sts, SC in next 5 sts. Turn (10 SC)
Row 7: ch 1, 2 SC in 1st st, SC in next 3 sts, skip next 2 sts, SC in next 3 sts, 2 SC in last st. Turn (10 SC).
Row 8: ch 1, SC in next 4 sts, skip next 2 sts, SC in next 4 sts. Turn. (8 SC)
Row 9: ch 1, 2 SC in 1st st, SC in next 2 sts, skip next 2 sts, SC in next 2 sts, 2 SC in last st. Turn (8 SC).
Row 10: ch 1, SC in next 3 sts, skip next 2 sts, SC in next 3 sts. Turn. (6 SC)
Row 11: ch 1, SC in next 2 sts, skip next 2 sts, SC in next 2 sts. Turn. (4 SC)
Row 12: ch 1, SC in 1st st, skip next 2 sts, SC in last st. Turn. (2 SC)
Row 13: ch 1, SC. (1 SC)
Crochet midrib of the fall leaf:
ch 1, sl st in each row (or every 2nd row) in the center where you skipped 2 sts.
SC evenly down the leaf. When you reach the bottom part, [SC, ch 1, SC], continue SC up the leaf.
Crochet petiole of the fall leaf:
ch 6, HDC in 2nd ch from hook, HDC in next ch, SC in next ch, SC in next ch, sl st in last ch. Join with a leaf body.
Cut the yarn leaving a long tail for sewing or weave in all ends.
