Crochet Snowflake Pattern

Crochet hook 3 mm
Caron, Simply Soft (4), 100% Acrylic or Aunt Lydia’s Fashion 3 (1),100% cotton.
Crochet snowflake size:
Size: 10.5*10.5 cm (4*4 in) (my snowflake was crocheted using acrylic yarn).
Common abbreviations of crochet stitches:
ch – chain
sl st – slip stitch
sp – space
yo – yarn over
DC – double crochet
st(s) – stitch(es)
Snowflake crochet pattern:
Start with a magic ring:
Round 1: Ch 3, 18 DC into magic ring. Close round with sl st in 1st DC. (18 sts)
Round 2: ch 3, [2 DC, ch 2, 2 DC] – into the same stitch as joining, skip next 2 sts, *[2 DC, ch 2, 2 DC] – in next stitch, skip next 2 sts – repeat from * 5 times. Close round with sl st in 1st DC.
Round 3: sl st, in next DC, sl st in next ch-2 sp. Ch 3, [3 DC, ch 2, 3 DC] – into the same ch-2 sp, ch 3, sl st through 2 loops of last DC, *[3 DC, ch 2, 3 DC] – into the next ch-2 sp, ch 3, sl st through 2 loops of last DC – repeat from * 5 times. Close round with sl st in 1st DC.
Round 4: sl st, in next 2 DC, sl st in next ch-2 sp. Ch 3, [2 DC, ch 3, sl st through 2 loops of last DC, 2 DC] – into the same ch-2 sp, ch 3, sl st through 2 loops of last DC, ch 4, sl st in 4th ch from hook, ch 3, sl st in 3rd ch from hook, [2 DC, ch 3, sl st through 2 loops of last DC, 2 DC] – into the same ch-2 sp, ch 3, sl st through 2 loops of last DC.
*[2 DC, ch 3, sl st through 2 loops of last DC, 2 DC] – into the next ch-2 sp, ch 3, sl st through 2 loops of last DC, ch 4, sl st in 4th ch from hook, ch 3, sl st in 3rd ch from hook, [2 DC, ch 3, sl st through 2 loops of last DC, 2 DC] – into the same ch-2 sp, ch3, sl st through 2 loops of last DC – repeat from * 5 times.
