Common abbreviations of crochet stitches:

ch – chain

sc – single crochet

sl st – slip stitch

tr – treble crochet

dc – double crochet

Crochet heart with hole pattern:

Make a magic ring. Using 4.5 mm hook ch 3. Work into magic ring: 4 tr, 4 dc, ch1, tr, ch1, 4 dc, 4 tr, ch 3, sl st into magic ring. Pull the yarn tail to close the magic ring.

Change the hook to the smaller size. I am using 3.5 mm. Start making sl st in each st across the heart to make heart’s edges more rigid. To preserve the shape of the heart make ch1 when you reach the bottom’s center.

Weave in ends.
