Crochet materials and tools:

<> Choose any yarn medium worsted or bulky. Total 110 grams;

<> Yarn needle.

Crochet womens beanie size:

Adult: 54-57 cm

Hat’s height – 22 cm

Gauge: 16 sts – 4 inches (10 cm)

Crochet womens beanie pattern

Crochet body of the womens beanie:

Ch 68 or any other number multiple by 2. Measure the chain. Your chain must measure about 51-52 cm. Join together with sl st in 1^st ch, making a ring.

Round 1: Ch3 (count as first dc), dc in each ch around. Join with sl st to top of ch-3. (68 sts)

Round 2: bpsc around ch 3 from previous round, ch 2, *fpdc around next st, bpdc around next st – repeat from * till the end, fpdc, join with sl st into 3^rd ch.

Round 3: bpsc around bpsc and ch2 from previous round, ch 2, *fpdc around next st, bpdc around next st – repeat from * till the end, fpdc, join with sl st into 3^rd ch.

Rounds 4-5: repeat Round 3.

In the next round we are going to add 4 sts.

Round 6: Ch 3, *15 dc, 2 dc in the next st – repeat from * till the end, 3 dc. Sl st to top of starting ch 3. (72 sts)

Round 7: bpsc around ch 3 from previous round, ch2, bpdc in each st around, Join with sl st into 3^rd ch.

Round 8: Ch 3, dc in each st of previous round. Sl st to top of starting ch 3.

Repeat Rounds 7 and 8 until hat’s length measures about 16 cm.

Shaping the crown of womens beanie:

Round 1: bpsc around ch 3 from previous round, ch2, bpdc around next st, bpdc2tog, *bpdc, bpdc, bpdc2tog – repeat from * till the end. Join with sl st to top of ch-3

Round 2: ch3, dc in each st of previous round. Sl st to top of starting ch 3.
