<> Crochet hook 4 mm for the bag and 2.5 mm for the bag handle.
<> Twine, Braided Nylon 2 mm. You may use any cotton yarn you have.

ch – chain
dc –double crochet
sc – single crochet
st(s) – stitch(es)
beg – beginning
3 DC cluster: yarn over insert the hook into the required stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop, yarn over and pull up only through two loops. You have two loops on the hook. Yarn over insert the hook into the same stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop, yarn over and pull up only through two loops. That will leave 3 loops on the hook. Yarn over insert the hook into the same stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop, yarn over and pull up only through two loops. That will leave 4 loops on your hook. To complete cluster stitch, yarn over and pull through all four loops on your hook.
sl st – slip stitch
pm – place marker
Crochet cell phone bag pattern:
Ch 18. Or any even number according to the breadth of your phone.
Round 1: ch 1, starting in the second chain from hook, 1 sc in each chain, 4 sc in the last chain, continue working on the opposite side of the chain, make sc in all the chains on the opposite side and once you reach the last stitch, make 3 more sc and sl st to first sc. (40 sc)
Round 2: ch1, sc into the same st and in each st around. Join to 1st sc. (40 sc)
Round 3-4: Repeat Round 2. (40 sc)
Round 5: ch4, skip the next stitch, DC in the next st after, *ch1, skip the next stitch, DC in the next st after, repeat from * till the end of round. Ch1 and sl st in 3rd chain of beg ch4.
Round 6: ch1, 2 sc in each ch-1 space around. Join to 1st sc. (40 sc)
Round 7: ch2, yarn over insert the hook into the same stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop, yarn over and pull up only through two loops. You have two loops on the hook. Yarn over insert the hook into the same stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop, yarn over and pull up only through two loops. You have 3 loops on your hook. To complete cluster stitch, yarn over and pull through all 3 loops on the hook. *Ch1, skip the next stitch, 3DC cluster, repeat from * around. Ch1, join to first st.
Round 8: ch1, sc into the same st, *sc in ch-1 space, sc in next stitch, repeat from * around. Join to 1st sc.
Repeat Rows 5-8 three more times, after that repeat Rounds 5 and 6 .
Next Round: repeat Round 2.
Round with button loop: Ch 1, sc into the same st, 7 sc, sl st in next st, ch 20, sl st into the same st, sc in each stitch till the end. Join to 1st sc.
Cut the yarn and weave in ends. Sew the button.
For the bag handle use 2.5 mm crochet hook.
For the assembling part and bag handle pattern I do recommend watching a video tutorial starting from the 27th minute.
The pattern is ambiguously explained from round 1. You have to calculate and count to find out exactly how it is meant. Very unfortunate.

To confirm the first stitch is worked as round seven but all the next stitches are 3-DC
Which I felt was a little confusing
no, they are different. When you have ch2 at the beginning you count it already as 1st incomplete DC and you need to add 2 more to finish the cluster. While crocheting other clusters you need to make 3 incomplete DC as there is no more ch2. Please check video tutorial, I am sure it will be clear.
