Round 1:Form a magic ring and make 8 SC into the ring. Tighten ring and sl st to 1st SC.

Round 2: ch 1, 3 SC in the same st as join, SC in next st, [3 SC in next st, SC in next st] – repeat 3 times. Join with sl st to first SC. Make one more sl st in the next st (into the 2nd SC).
