Crochet Hook 6 mm;
Bernat, Premium (Medium) – 100% acrylic. 198 grams – 329 meters per skein. Quantity – 50-55 grams
Crochet pixie hat size:
Head circumference: This hat was made for a 6-year-old girl. To make a larger size, simply add one more row to increase the depth of the hat.
Gauge: 12 stitches = 4 inches
Common abbreviations of crochet stitches (US):
ch – chain
DC – double crochet
sl st – slip stitch
FPDC – front post double crochet
BPDC – back post double crochet

Row 1: Ch 27, DC in the 3rd ch from the hook, DC in the next 23 chains, 3 DC in the last chain, turn and work on the other side, DC in the next 24 chains. Turn. (51)
Rows 2-14: ch2, DC in each stitch. (51)
At this point, the depth of the folded hat is 18 cm. Do not cut the yarn. Ch 2 and begin working the ribbing around the bottom edge of the hat. I made 2 DC in each row (placing them in separate spots, one after the other). Turn.
Next Row: Ch 2, [FPDC around the next stitch, BPDC around the following stitch] – repeat until the end of the row. Cut the yarn and weave in ends.
For the ties, Ch 150 or make a chain 82 cm in length. Sl st in the 2nd ch from the hook and in each chain across. Thread the tie through the ribbing, and you’re done!
