Crochet Ribbing 2×2 Stitch Pattern (Knitting Look)

Learn how to crochet a perfect “knit 2, purl 2” ribbing using the yarn over slip stitch. Even if you do not know how to knit, you can make your ribbing look almost identical to the knit one. Crochet materials and tools:
<> Crochet hook 4.5 mm
<> Gazzal XL Baby Wool (Aran) – 40% acrylic, 20% Cashmere Pa, 40% Lana Merino: 50 grams -100 m per skein.
Common abbreviations of crochet stitches:
ch – chain
sc – single crochet
sl st – slip stitch
yo slst – yarn over slip stitch: yarn over, insert the hook into the stitch, yarn over and pull thought the stitch, and next 2 loops on your hook
yo sl st BL – yarn over slip stitch back loop only
yo slst btl – yarn over slip stitch bottom loop: yarn over, insert the hook into the 3rd loop formed below top chain, yarn over and pull thought the stitch, and next 2 loops on your hook
st(s) – stitch(es)
Crochet ribbing 2×2 stitch pattern:
This crochet ribbing is worked flat. Start with the foundation chain of desired length. Chain 15.
Row 1: ch1, into the second ch from hook, yo slst in each chain across (15 sts). Turn.
Row 2: ch 1, yo slst BL in each stitch across. Turn.
Row 3: Repeat Row 2
Row 4: ch1, yo slst btl in each st across. Turn.
Row 5: Repeat Row 4.
Repeat Rows 2-5 to form a pattern.
