ch – chain
sc – single crochet
sl st – slip stitch
sp – space
yo – yarn over
DC – double crochet
ESC – extended single crochet: insert hook into stitch and draw up a loop, yo and pull through one loop only, yo and pull through both loops on the hook.
EDC – extended double crochet: yo, insert hook into stitch and draw up a loop, yo and pull through one loop only, [yo and pull through 2 loops] – twice.
ETR – extended treble crochet: yarn over hook twice, insert hook into stitch and draw up a loop, yo and pull through one loop only, [yo and pull through 2 loops] – 3 times.
TR – treble crochet
DTR – double treble crochet
HDC – half double crochet
st(s) – stitch(es)
Daisy flower granny square crochet pattern:
Color A – Start with a magic ring:
Round 1: ch 3, 10 DC into the magic ring. Close round with sl st in 1st DC. (10 sts) Cut the yarn.
Join color B into the same stitch where you made sl st:
Round 2: ch 2, 2 HDC into the same stitch, 2 HDC in each DC around. Close round with sl st in 1st HDC. (20 sts)
Round 3: ch 3, [DC, TR] – into the same st, [TR, DTR, TR] – in next st, [TR, DC] – in next stitch, sl st in next st, *[DC, TR] – in next st, [TR, DTR, TR] – in next st, [TR, DC] – in next stitch, sl st in next st – repeat from * four times. Join with sl st. Cut the yarn.
Join Color C in DTR:
Round 4: ch1, SC into the same st, ESC in next TR, HDC in next TR, DC in next DC, ETR in sl st, DC in next DC, HDC in next TR, ESC in next TR, [SC in next DTR, ESC in next TR, HDC in next TR, DC in next DC, ETR in sl st, DC in next DC, HDC in next TR, ESC in next TR] – repeat four times. Join with sl sl in 1st SC.
Round 5: ch3, [3 EDC, ch 1, 3 EDC] – into the same stitch, DC in next st, DC in next st, HDC in next st, HDC in next st, sc in next st, HDC in next st, HDC in next st, DC in next st, DC in next st, *[3 EDC, ch 1, 3 EDC] – in next st, DC in next st, DC in next st, HDC in next st, HDC in next st, sc in next st, HDC in next st, HDC in next st, DC in next st, DC in next st – repeat from * 3 times. Join with sl st in 1st EDC.
Cut the yarn and weave in all ends.
