Crochet Twisted Ear Warmer Pattern

Crochet materials and tools:

<> Crochet hook H-8 US (5 mm)

<> Red Heart, Super Saver –100% acrylic, 198 grams -333 m per skein.  Color of your choice. If you have difficulty to find the mentioned yarn brand, use something else that will have about 160m (165 yards) per 100 grams skein

<> Yarn needle, scissors, tape measure

Crochet twisted ear warmer size:

Gauge: 14 stitches by 15 rows = 4 inches in single crochet ribbing

Width: 9 cm (3.5”)

Length: 48-49 cm (19.5”)

Head circumference: 53-57 cm (21-22”).

ch – chain

sl st – slip stitch

st(s) – stitch(es)

sc – single crochet

Crochet twisted ear warmer (headband) pattern:

Ch 70. The chain has to measure about 49-50 cm.

Row 1: Start in 2d chain from hook. sc across through the back ridge loop, turn.

Row 2: Ch 1, sc in back loops only, turn.

Rows 3-13: Repeat Row 2 or until the width of the headband reaches 9-10 cm.

Cut the yarn leaving 10-15 cm tail.

Assemble twisted ear warmer

Lay the headband right side up, pick up two ends and make something that looks like a “sandwich”. Sew back and forth just under the first loop on the end making sure that you are going through all 4 layers to get the twist looks nice. Tie off. Weave in ends. Turn head band right-side out.
