Leave a tail at least 15 cm, we are going to use it to close the crown. Chain 72 +1. In total 73.
Half of the back central part:
Row 1: Work into the back ridge: sc in the 2nd ch from the hook, 71 scl. (72 sts) Turn your work always counter clockwise, so that the working yarn is laying in front after. Check video tutorial – 6:10.
Row 2: 1 scBL, 71 sclBL. Turn. (72 sts)!!!!Pay attention this pattern does not have ch 1 stitch at the beginning of each row. To make the brim less elastic, crochet the very last stitch of each even row through both loops!!!!!

Folding the hat right side out and moving from top to bottom, join 2 sides together making back seam of the hat. Insert the hook through the front loop of the fabric that is closest to you and through the back loop on the other side, yarn over and pull it through both loops and stitch on the hook. Weave in end.
Now take a yarn needle and thread the tail that we have left at the beginning to close the top. Fasten off and weave in ends.
