Preemie baby socks crochet pattern:

Shape the heel:

Round 1: make an adjustable ring and secure it with a slip knot. Ch3 (count as DC), 11 DC into the ring, Join with a slip stitch to the top of the starting ch-3 – 12 sts.

Round 2: ch 3, DC into the same stitch as the join, 2 DC in each st around, join with sl st – 24 sts.

Stripe: Ch 1, insert the hook into the same stitch as join, draw up a loop. Yarn over and pull through only the first loop on the hook — this creates a small horizontal loop on the left side, which becomes your next insertion point. Yarn over again and pull through the remaining 2 loops.

*Insert the hook into the left-side stitch (the horizontal loop created in the previous step), draw up a loop, yarn over and pull through only the first loop, yarn over again and pull through the 2 remaining loops — repeat from * a total of 9 times.

Sl st to the 13th stitch, counting the slip stitch join of Round 2 as the first stitch.

Crochet the upper part:

Round 1: ch 3 (count as DC), DC into the same stitch, DC in next 12 stitches, DC in next 10 sts along the stripe, join with sl st – 24 sts.

Rounds 2-3: ch 3 (count as DC), DC in each st around, join – 24 sts.

Rounds 5-8: repeat Round 4. Cut the yarn.

Crocheting the toe part: 

Round 1: attach the yarn, Ch 3 (count as DC), DC in the next 23 sts, working along the heel section and then continuing along the other side of the stripe, join – 24 sts.

Rounds 2-4: ch 3 (count as DC), DC in next 23 sts, join – 24 sts.

Round 5: Ch 3, yarn over, insert the hook into the next stitch, draw up a loop. Yarn over, pull through 2 loops, yarn over again, and pull through the remaining 2 loops. DC2tog around, join to the 1st st – 12 sts.

Round 6: Ch 3, yarn over, insert the hook into the next stitch, draw up a loop. Yarn over, pull through 2 loops, yarn over again, and pull through the remaining 2 loops. DC2tog around, join to the 1st st – 6 sts.

Cut the yarn, leaving a 20 cm tail. Using a yarn needle, pick up the front loops of the remaining 6 stitches, pull the tail to close the hole, and secure it.

Weave in all ends. Repeat the entire process for the second sock.
