Crochet Lace Bookmark Pattern
Pattern Sections
Hey book lovers, today’s pattern is made for you and it’s a vintage-style lace bookmark that’s going to last for a very long time. It’s made with a super fine yarn to neatly fit into the closed book and ensure the light weight. The pattern attracts me with its delicate design of diamonds and triangles repeating multiple times.
The crochet lace bookmark I made is elongated with a tail for convenience, but the bookmark itself is also a fairly long one (10 inches long without a tail or 13 inches long with a tail), so you are unlikely to lose it in one of your books. You just have to know single, double, and half-double crochet stitches to make it.
Whether you are looking for a little project to distract yourself or have a special book in mind that might take you a while to finish reading, this handmade crochet lace bookmark will, hopefully, please the eye each time you open the last page you read.
Don’t forget to take a peek at the crochet flower-style bookmark I made recently that is more rounded and reminds me of blossoming flowers.

Cut the yarn. Weave in all ends.
Additional instructions:
Do not forget to iron your bookmark(s).
For the twisted cord, cut the yarn approximately 120 cm (47”) and fold it in half twice. Pull the yarn through the center of Round 4 (right or left side). Start twisting the thread ends in opposite directions. Now join ends together, holding them in one hand, lift your bookmark and let it twist naturally.
It will twist upon itself. Tie yarn ends together in a knot leaving a 2.5 cm tail.
Now give your tail a little haircut on the ends and you are done.
This is a pretty bookmark/bracelet. The pattern was really easy to read on the website (the red text is SO helpful). I tend to get frustrated and give up on website patterns, so making this was really fun.
So pretty!!
Hey Natalie, I’m so happy you enjoyed crocheting the lace bookmark and hope that it will serve you for a long long time. Huge thanks for your feedback ❤️
Where can I find the pattern for the other bookmarker in the picture? My mom saw it and asked me to make her one.
Hey Lucinda, here is the link to the flower-like crochet bookmark.
Wonderful video and pattern!! I wanted to ask how you felt about me selling bookmarks using your pattern?
Hi Lucille, thanks a lot for asking. You are allowed to sell physical products made using our crochet patterns, the only ask I have is to mention me as a designer if possible.
