Crochet Hexagon Pattern

ch – chain

dc – double crochet

st– stitch

Crochet hexagon (sexagon) pattern:

Round 1: Begin with magic loop. Ch 3(count as first dc)

into the ring: dc, ch2, dc, ch, dc, ch2, dc, ch2, dc, ch2. Pull tight to close the center. Join in top of starting ch-3.

Round 2: sc in first space, ch-4, dc into the same space, dc in next dc, *[dc, ch2, dc] – in the next ch-2 space, dc in next dc, repeat from 5 times. Join in top of starting ch-3.

Round 3: sc in first space, ch-4, dc into the same space, dc in next 3 dc, *[dc, ch2, dc] – in the next ch-2 space, dc in next 3 dc, repeat from 5 times. Join in top of starting ch-3.

Round 4: sc in first space, ch-4, dc into the same space, dc in next 5 dc, *[dc, ch2, dc] – in the next ch-2 space, dc in next 5 dc, repeat from 5 times. Join in top of starting ch-3.

Round 5: sc in first space, ch-4, dc into the same space, dc in next 7 dc, *[dc, ch2, dc] – in the next ch-2 space, dc in next 7 dc, repeat from 5 times. Join in top of starting ch-3.

The hexagon increases by 2 stitches per side in each round. Crochet it this way until you reach a desired hexagon’s size.
