ch – chain

SC – single crochet

sl st – slip stitch

yo – yarn over

DC – double crochet

POPCORN stitch: work 5 DC into the same stitch. Remove the hook from a working loop, insert the hook into the first double crochet stitch, draw the working loop thought the loop of your first double crochet to complete the popcorn stitch.

Crochet popcorn stitch flower coaster pattern:

Round 1: Make a magic ring. Ch 2, 12 DC inside magic ring, join to first DC.

Round 2: ch2, 2DC into the same stitch and in each stitch around. Join. (24 DC).

Round 3: ch2, 2 DC in first stitch, DC in next stitch, *2DC in next st, DC in next stitch, repeat from *around. Join. (36 DC)

Round 4: ch1, *2SC in first stitch, SC in next stitch, SC in next stitch, repeat from *around. Join. (48 SC)

Round 5: ch2, * POPCORN stitch in the same stitch, ch 2, skip the next stitch, repeat from *around. Join. (24 popcorn stitches)
