Round 1 (pupil): Ch 1, 10 SC into the magic ring. Join with sl st to 1st SC. (10 sts) Cut the yarn.
Round 2 (sclera): Color B – Ch 2, 2 HDC into the same stitch as join, 2 DC in next st, 2 TR in next 3 sts, 2 DC in next st, 2 HDC in next st, 2 SC in next 3 stitches. Join with sl st to 1st HDC. (20 sts) Cut the yarn leaving a long tail.
Using the accent color, slip stitch around the outer edge of the white section, starting where the third treble crochets begin. Slip stitch across 12-13 stitches. Secure and weave in the ends with a tapestry needle. If you prefer, you can tie the ends at the back without weaving them in, as the eye will be sewn in place later.
Add a small shine effect to the eye by using white color or sparkly yarn to work a tiny stitch at the desired reflection spot.
